Excursion days are a highlight of Sotogrande Summer Camps, where all students join together from the different programmes to venture out on fun experiences.
These include visits to the local water park, beach days and zip lines adventures. Cultural visits are also part of these excursions, giving our students an opportunity to practise their language skills as well as explore Spanish culture.

Transport
We are easily accessible by plane, train or car. Campers may arrive with their families or independently. No matter how you arrive, our staff will ready and awaiting your arrival.
Free Aiport Pick-Up and Drop-Off
Sotogrande International Camps is approximately a 20 minutes drive from Gibraltar Airport, 1 hour drive from Málaga International Airport. We offer a complimentary airport pickup and drop-off service. for Flights that arrive / leave between 10am – 1pm.
Pickups and drop-offs outside of these times will incur a cost of 150€ each way.
To make use of the free airport pickup and drop-off, travel plans must be submitted to us via the camper information form by June 1st.

We will accompany all of our campers through check-in and to airport security to make sure they are safely on their way home.

The nearest major train station is Estación de San Roque, Málaga – Maria Zambrano or Sevilla – Santa Justa.

Accomodation
Sotogrande International Camps has a brand new boarding provision named ‘Templeton House’. The new boarding residence will house 140 campers, predominantly in twin accommodation, with four bed dorm rooms for the youngest.
The campers will be spread across three floors and there will be resident members of staff on site. Additionally, security guards will be present in the Boarding house during the night.
Templeton House has been designed with students at the centre of the decision making process and as such the clean, modern furnishings will allow them to be as comfortable as possible. The en suite rooms will be climate-controlled, with wifi available throughout. The campers will have access to incredible onsite facilities.
Facilities
Thanks to our first-class facilities, our campers will be housed in our branded new boarding house, ‘Templeton House’. The new boarding residence will house 140 campers, predominantly in twin accommodation, with four-bed dorm rooms for the youngest. Our Boarding House is a warm, vibrant international community with dedicated staff who care for each student.
Girls and boys are in separate accommodation, with the majority of our campers sharing double rooms. Each camper has access to cupboard space and bathrooms are all ensuite.

FAQs
Where are campers accommodated? How many students share a room?
All our campers stay in the Sotogrande International Boarding House. They share rooms, typically with one other camper, though some rooms accommodate four, and all rooms have ensuite bathrooms.
What is the student to monitor ratio?
We work on a ratio of one monitor to ten students.
For the younger campers (Nano and Mega Camps) we operate with a ratio of one monitor to eight campers.
Is a laundry service included in the price of the Camp?
Our bedding is changed once per week, on arrival all our Campers are given a laundry bag to store their dirty clothes. We have a laundry procedure for students to utilize. We encourage all students to be responsible for their clothes washing under the supervision of our staff members. Washing can be done once per week.
If a child has to administer an injection every day before bedtime, is there anyone who can help them with this?
We have a qualified nurse on site every morning and if help in this type of case is required it can be arranged.
Are there any additional costs we need to consider?
All the costs are included as well as the camp uniform. Most families leave their children some pocket money which our monitors can look after and give to the children when we are on excursions.
Which airport should my child fly to?
Sotogrande International Camps organise transfers to Málaga and Gibraltar airports on arrival and departure days.
How many children are in each group?
Academic classes have a maximum group size of 12 students. Morning sports activities will depend on each sport however the ratio of student to monitor will always remain low.
Is English spoken in activities outside the classroom?
The official language of the Camp is English and outside Spanish lessons students have the opportunity to continue improving their language skills in both Spanish and English.
Within the sports programme do Campers have to choose one option? How many days a week and how many hours are set aside for sports?
Our Campers select one sport per week and this takes place every day from 10:00-13:00. Sports consist of: Watersports, Tennis, Horse riding, Football and Golf.
Apart from these specialist sports activities, do they take part in any others on the beach or is the rest of their time spent on Campus?
We have excursion days on Wednesdays and Weekends. During the week we will also take a visit to the Sotogrande Port and Marina for an evening activity and ice cream.
What do we need to bring to sports?
Sotogrande International Camps will provide you with all the equipment but you can bring your own Clubs, Tennis racket or Horse Riding helmet if you wish to.
